Arizona 529 College Savings Plans
Arizona offers two 529 college savings plans: a direct-sold plan managed by Fidelity Investments featuring its mutual funds along with a bank savings option, and an advisor-sold plan managed by Goldman Sachs. A third plan offering FDIC-insured options through College Savings Bank was discontinued in 2022.

Arizona 529 Tax Benefit
AZ529, Arizona's Education Savings Plan is a Fidelity-managed 529 plan follows the same approach as other Fidelity plans in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It features three age-based options; one using Fidelity Series actively managed funds; one using Fidelity Series index funds; and a third using a combination of the two. The plan also offers 10 static options, one option that invests in an interest-bearing deposit account, and a stable value option that invests in a separately managed account that may invest in individual securities or Fidelity mutual funds and investment contracts issued by third-party insurance companies or banks....
College Savings Bank, a Division of NexBank offered two FDIC-insured options as part of the AZ529, Arizona's Education Savings Plan: (1) fixed-rate CDs with one-year, two-year or three-year maturities; and (2) the CollegeSure Honors Savings Account, a high-yield savings account. The plan ceased offering InvestorSure CDs and CollegeSure CDs to investors as of August 2, 2016 and October 21, 2016. InvestorSure CDs and CollegeSure CDs issued prior to those dates continue to be managed and serviced by College Savings Bank until their maturity dates. Effective Nov. 1, 2021, College Saving Bank will no longer be accepting new accounts or the purchase of new products for the AZ529, Arizona's Education Savings Plan. Additionally, no deposits to existing accounts will be accepted after Feb. 1, 2022. Any College Savings Bank CD accounts will be serviced through their full maturity, regardless of the change. All Honors Savings Accounts will continue to be serviced through College Savings Bank until at least November 30, 2022, when they will be transitioned to Fidelity Investments....

The State of Arizona has partnered with the State of Ohio to offer AZ ABLE, a program that offers the STABLE Account Plan to eligible Arizona residents. The STABLE Account Plan is established pursuant to Ohio law (Ohio Revised Code §113.50-§113.56) in accordance with Section 529A, and is structured and operated by the Ohio Treasurer's Office and its Service Providers.
