Oregon issues RFP for program manager of direct 529

The Oregon 529 College Savings Board today issued a request for proposals (RFP) for program management and administrative services for the state's direct-sold 529 plan called the Oregon College Savings Plan.

The plan is currently managed by OppenheimerFunds and held assets of $368.6 million as of December 31, 2008. The RFP does not affect the state's two adviser-sold 529 plans (the OppenheimerFunds 529 Plan and the MFS 529 Savings Plan).

Bids are due May 5, 2009.
