MSRB files 529 advertising rule changes with SEC

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed changes to rule G-21 pertaining to advertisements of 529 plans. In addition, MSRB Notice 2006-32 sets out interpretive guidance relating to the amendments.

Of note to 529 plan distributors is the acceptability of abbreviated disclosures on time-limited radio and television advertisements.
