Kansas issues program manager RFP
The state of Kansas has issued a request for proposals for program manager services for its 529 savings programs. Learning Quest is currently managed by American Century Investments through a contract that expires December 31, 2006 (but which will be extended if necessary for transition purposes). American Century also manages the Schwab 529 Plan through Kansas.
The submission deadline is August 31, 2006. The initial term of the contract will run from January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2012. Assets in both Kansas 529 plans currently total over $1.3 billion.
