Missouri to switch from TIAA-CREF to Upromise

The Associated Press reports today that the contract for managing Missouri's MO$T 529 college savings program will move from TIAA-CREF to Upromise on May 10, 2006. The plan will also switch its investments from TIAA-CREF funds to Vanguard and American Century mutual funds.

According to the report, Missouri Treasurer Sarah Steelman said the contract also involves a new credit rewards program and an association with brokerage firm AG Edwards, Inc.
