The state of Wisconsin has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) soliciting bids for management of the state's two 529 savings programs, EDVEST and Tomorrow's Scholar. The management contract with current program manager, Wells Fargo, ends on April 30, 2006. The new contract will be for five years, and the state will have the option to extend for up to three 3-year terms. A new program manager will assume the existing program assets, and will be required to administer the frozen Tuition Units program as well as a new Certificate of Deposit option currently under development. Proposals are due by November 23, 2005 with the winning proposal to be decided during the third week of December.
