New study says comparing 529 plans is next to impossible
A report released by consulting firm Corporate Insight, "529 Plan Update: Growth Continues, Choices Abound," concludes that 529 plans are becoming less transparent in their pricing and maintain out-of-date information, according to this press release. "We can't imagine how an investor can make sense of all the information required to make an intelligent decision on comparing one plan vs. another," EVP Michael Ellison is quoted as saying.
