Independent 529 Plan sees growth
Independent 529 Plan, the prepaid tuition program operated by a consortium of private colleges, has seen its assets and accounts grow with a marketing push prior to the annual June 30 repricing date.
As of June 21, 2005, total plan assets exceeded $50 million, with over 2900 accounts and 250 participating colleges. In the 17 months since launch, the portfolio has achieved a 9.95% annualized return, net of all fees and expenses.
