Adviser survey shows generational differences in 529 usage

A survey of top producers conducted by MFS found that three distinct demographic audiences--matures, baby boomers, and generation X--had different views towards 529 plans. Generation X remains least aware of 529s but GenX investors saving for college use 529s as their primary vehicle. Other generations are more likely to be saving for college, but give less consideration to 529s compared to other available savings vehicles.
