GAO to look at 529 plans

At the request of the co-chairs of the Senate Finance Committee, the General Accounting Office is preparing to begin an investigation into the benefits and costs of 529 plans, according to an article in Fund Action. The report will compare 529 plans to other college savings vehicles offered by the federal government and others.
