Manulife 529 undergoes change in name, fund lineup
Effective June 1, 2004, Manulife College Savings becomes John Hancock Freedom 529. The name change comes following the acquisition of John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. by Manulife Financial Corporation in April 2004. The program has also announced that the MFS Massachusetts Investors Growth Stock Fund will be replaced by the Fidelity Advisor Equity Growth Fund A in the program portfolios, and that John Hancock Classic Value Fund A will be incorporated into the Enrollment-Based and Static Equity Portfolios. The breakpoint schedule has also been revised.
