Treasury Department advances proposals on education incentives
The U. S. Treasury Department has released a list of items to be included as proposed legislative changes in the 2005/2006 federal budget. Details are thin, but include proposals to resolve "unclear" areas in section 529, as well as to "coordinate and simplify" higher education tax benefits.
