S. 108 - Financial Aid Simplification and Transparency Act of 2015 (FAST Act)

Sponsor: Lamar Alexander [R-TN]
Introduced: Jan 7, 2015

This Senate bill first aims to simplify the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by cutting the 10-page form to a postcard with 2 questions: ‘What is your family size?’ and ‘What was your household income 2 years ago’. It would also create a look-up table to allow students in their junior year of high school to see how much in federal aid they are eligible for as they start their college selection process.
