Hawaii bill provides tax credit for 529 savers
The Hawaii legislature today introduced a bill, SB 1432, that would provide a state tax credit of up to $500 per beneficiary for contributions to the state's 529 college savings program. The credit would be available in the years 2013 through 2018 on a sliding percentage tied to income level.
