North Carolina 529 to pare investment options
(April 29, 2009) - College Foundation, Inc., manager of North Carolina's National College Savings Program, has announced plans to drop two of its current investment options, the Balanced Option, and the age-based option using Riversource (formerly Seligman) CollegeHorizonFunds.
Accounts will automatically be moved into two other options with similar objectives, the V Fund 3 and the moderate track of the Age-Based V Fund. These options invest in low-cost mutual funds from the Vanguard Group. The tranfer is scheduled to take place in mid to late June 2009.
