According to this year's rankings from Business Insider, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the top college in the U.S. The list, now in its seventh year, is based on opinions from 1,000 of their readers, and other statistics, including the schools' average SAT scores and median starting salaries after graduation.
This week, however, the folks at Business Insider dug a little deeper into their results and focused only on answers from respondents who are actively hiring new employees. They created a new ranking list using this information, which differed only slightly from the original. (Spoiler alert: MIT was bumped from the top spot!) So if you or your child are hungry for future success, these are the colleges you'll want to focus on.
But remember, these schools are highly selective and quite costly. Be sure to start building your profile and asking for recommendation letters, and if you haven't started saving you'll want to get a strategy in place as soon as possible.
