For most of us, saving for our children’s college tuition doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a long process, and as we put away money laws will change and new products will come available. Even if you’re currently investing in a 529 college savings plan, you’ll want to stay on top of the latest news.

For example, this week we learned from @529guru Joseph Hurley when he tweeted about a bill that was introduced into Congress that would make 529 plans more attractive. If approved, it would result in favorable changes including allowing up to $25,000 of unused funds to be rolled to a Roth RIA under certain circumstances.
