House subcommittee to hold hearing on tax benefits for college

The House Ways and Means Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee, chaired by Richard E. Neal (D-MA), will hold a hearing on tax incentives for postsecondary education on May 1, 2008.

The hearing will examine the interaction of the many existing tax benefits for postsecondary education, the complexity associated with them, and whether these benefits can be simplified to make them more efficient and effective.
