Wells Fargo retains manager role in Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Department of Administration has announced its intent to enter into a contract with Wells Fargo to manage the states college savings programs EdVest and Tomorrow's Scholar. The contract is expected to become effective May 1, 2006.

Wells Fargo is current manager of Wisconsin's college savings programs, having taken on the role as part of its acquisition of the assets of former program manager Strong Capital. The new contract will involve a fee reduction for participants in the college savings plan.
