Vanguard announces fee reductions in Nevada 529

Vanguard has announced changes to its Vanguard 529 Plan sponsored by the state of Nevada, to take effect in October:

-- lowering the expense ratio on many of the individual-fund portfolios to 0.65%

-- eliminating the Long Term Bond Index portfolio option

-- replacing the Prime Money Market option with an Interest Accumulation option

-- committing to a fee reduction on blended-fund portfolios to 0.60%, once total assets in the program reach $1 billion (they were approximately $580 million at July 31, 2004)
