NJ bill would provide state tax deduction for NJBEST
The New Jersey Assembly is considering a bill (A-3337) that would permit New Jersey taxpayers to deduct up to $5,000 (single) or $10,000 (couple) for contributions made to the state's 529 savings program, NJBEST. Attempts to pass similar legislation in NJ in the past did not succeed.
