Description: Awarded by GEICO this Achievement Award program is designed to provide financial assistance to undergraduate sophomore or junior status students majoring in business, computer science, mathematics or related fields who have demonstrated leadership within their campus or community. In 2011, GEICO presented over $65,000 in scholarships across the United States.

What's Required for the Application: To apply for this Achievement Award, the student must complete an application, include a resume, transcript, faculty letter of reference, and carry a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The student must also write a 600 - 1,200 word essay that answers the question: What have I accomplished academically and in my work or extracurricular activities to deserve a GEICO Achievement Award?

What Makes it Unique: GEICO not only recognizes and rewards students, but also gets to know them on a personal level. This Achievement Award program isn't just a transaction. Many of the winners are offered internships and go on to work for GEICO after graduation.
