4-Year Florida University Plan (120 credit hours), 4-Year Florida College Plan (120 credit hours), 2-Year Florida College Plan (60 credit hours), 1-Year Florida University Plan (30 credit hours) and a 2+2 Florida Plan combining Florida college and university attendance (120 credit hours). Optional contracts for payment of dormitory housing are also available for those purchasing the Florida University or 2+2 plans.

Up to nine semesters of university level tuition and mandatory fees, up to four semesters of community college level tuition and mandatory fees, or a combination of four university semesters and four community college semesters. The University+ option is separately priced and covers the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

One semester to four years at a Maryland public 4-year university, one or two years at a Maryland community college or a community/university combination (2 years of each).

Massachusetts general obligation bonds that may be redeemed for a pre-determined percentage of tuition and fees at a participating Massachusetts institution.

The Full Benefits contract pays for one to eight semesters of tuition and mandatory fees at any Michigan public institution; the Limited Benefits contract pays for one to eight semesters of tuition and mandatory fees at Michigan public institutions up to 105% of the weighted average tuition of all Michigan four-year universities; and the Community College contract pays one to four semesters of in-district tuition and mandatory fees at any Michigan public community college.

A Tuition Certificate is issued for each program year based on all payments made for the beneficiary during that program year. Total Tuition Certificates may not exceed five years of undergraduate tuition and mandatory fees at the highest-cost participating institution. Tuition Certificates may be redeemed for a pre-determined percentage of tuition at any of the hundreds of participating institutions. The particular college to be attended is not identified at the time of certificate purchase. Private College 529 Plan continually recruits new colleges into the program, and any college coming in must agree to accept Tuition Certificates from existing participants.
