For the 2016-17 enrollment period prices ranged from as little as $2,022 for a one-semester community college contract for a newborn, to as much as $91,174 for a nine-semester University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign contract for a child in the ninth grade or higher. Installment payments are available.

MET contracts offer three purchase options: Lump Sum, Pay-As-You-Go, and Monthly.

The Pay-As-You-Go option allows purchases of credit hours. From December 12, 2016 to April 30, 2017, prices range from $109 per credit hour for a community college contract to $583 per credit hour for a full benefits contract. From May 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017 prices range from $110 to $589.

Monthly purchases are available in four, seven, ten, and fifteen year increments, depending on the age of the beneficiary. From December 12, 2016 to April 30, 2017 payments range from $14 for community college benefits (newborn to age 3) to $1,672 for full benefits (newborn to 8th grade). From May 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017, prices range from $14 to $1,688.

For the period of December 12, 2016 through April 30, 2017, lump sum prices range from as little as $1,628 for a one-semester community college contract to as much as $69,880 for a four-year full benefits contract. From May 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017 prices range from $1,644 to $70,576.

An extended payment plan is available. For 2017-18 enrollment, the first payment is due May 15, 2018.
