Each week, tens of thousands of families and individuals visit Savingforcollege.com looking for information on the best ways to plan for future education costs. Now, with the launch of our newly designed community message board, our readers can share tips, ask questions and get advice from each other as well as from our team and other industry experts. In fact, Savingforcollege.com founder, Joe Hurley (the '529 Guru') has even been known to make an appearance!
The new forum features an easy-to-follow, modern design that separates discussions by category, so that if you want to find out about 529 plan withdrawals you'll know right where to look. Other categories in the forum include financial aid, grandparents, ABLE accounts, rewards credit cards and Roth IRA. There's also an option to search by the most recent and popular comments, so you can stay on top of the latest industry trends.
For those of you who use the message board to share your knowledge, we've created a number of badges we will add to your profile that highlight your college savings expertise. For example, if you're a Savingforcollege.com Gold or Platinum level subscriber, you'll receive a “529 Pro” badge. Other badges are assigned based on your activity on the forum, such as when you like or share another post. We also award certain milestones with a badge, like when you receive 10 likes on a post or topic, or if you post an external link and it gets 50 clicks.
Now that you have this network of knowledge at your fingertips, why not get started today? Join the discussion here: http://forum.savingforcollege.com/
