MSRB seek comments on proposal to collect 529 data
(August 6, 2012) - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board is seeking comment on draft Rule G-45 that would require distributors of 529 plans to submit certain program data to MSRB on a quarterly basis. This follows an initial request for comments issued in July 2011. Initially, MSRB would utilize the data for its own purposes in gaining further information on the 529 marketplace, and eventually may decide to post information for public access on EMMA.
