Legg Mason survey of wealthy reveals lack of college planning
(August 3, 2012) - A survey prepared for Legg Mason by Mathew Greenwald & Associates finds that families with the financial ability to save for college usually do not follow through in appropriate ways. The "Intergenerational Survey of College Finances Among Affluent Americans" shows most affluent families using current income to pay for college and not taking full advantage of tax-advantaged 529 plans.
