South Carolina to stay with Columbia as 529 manager
(July 23, 2012) - The state of South Carolina and Columbia Management have agreed to a five-year extension of 529 program management services into 2017. Columbia has managed both the direct-sold and advisor-sold versions of South Carolina's Future Scholar 529 Savings Plan. Under the new contract, Columbia Management will also take on the role of Program Manager for the South Carolina Tuition Prepayment Program.
