Utah 529 adds FDIC-insured savings option
(February 11, 2009) - The Utah Educational Savings Plan has added an FDIC-insured savings account as Option 11. Contributions are held by the 529 trust in a savings account at Zions Bank and earn interest. The savings account is also used as an underlying investment in several of the plan's age-based portfolios. Option 11 incurs the same 0.22% program management fee as the other investment options in the plan.
