Hopes & Dreams Survey gauges parents' attitudes toward college
(October 5, 2007) - In its first annual nationwide "Hopes & Dreams" survey conducted by Harris Interactive, Futuretrust commissioned the survey to learn about parents' financial concerns and goals for the future.
Survey results indicate that nearly half (48%) of all parents do not know what a 529 plan is. Familiarity with 529 plans rises with family income. The survey gauges many other aspects of parents' attitudes and expectations regarding college costs.
Futuretrust is a MasterCard-linked college savings program with automatic rebates deposited into a program member's 529 account.
