Arizona to transfer remaining SM&R 529 assets
(August 21, 2007) - The Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education has informed Securities Management & Research that all remaining assets in the SM&R College Savings Plan on September 30, 2007 will be transferred into the Waddell & Reed 529 Plan. Participants with assets being transferred will receive a fee waiver from Waddell & Reed.
A notice from SM&R to its shareholders can be viewed here. The letter from ACPE notifying SM&R of this action can be viewed here. This effectively closes the SM&R 529 Plan.
