IRS lists 529 regulations as 2007-2008 priority
(August 13, 2007) - The IRS 2007-2008 priority guidance plan lists 303 items to receive attention over the next year, including regulations under section 529 regarding qualified tuition programs.
The 529 regulations have been included as a priority for each of the last several years. IRS presumably feels added pressure in the wake of the 2006 Pension Protection Act which mandates these regulations.
