New Lousiana 529 option adds international component
(July 8, 2007) - Lousiana's resident-only 529 savings plan, START, has added a seventh investment option called the Equity Plus International Option. This option invests 80% in the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund Institutional Shares (VITSX) and 20% in the Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund (VGTSX). The START 529 plan has no manager or administrative fees beyond the underlying fund expenses of 6 basis points (VITSX) and 32 basis points (VGTSX).
