Vanguard dropping fees, adding options, to its Nevada 529 plan
(November 9, 2006) - The Vanguard 529 Savings Plan is reducing the fees on its age-based investment options by 10 to 12 basis points (0.10% to 0.12%) effective December 1, 2006. Also, three new actively-managed portfolios are being added to the menu of investment options, while one is being closed, bringing the total number of options to 22. Total expenses (program administration and underlying fund fees) in the 22 options will range from 0.50% to 0.70% annualized.
