Upromise becomes new plan manager of ND 529
(October 25, 2006) - Upromise Investments Inc. has been selected to become the new plan manager of College SAVE, North Dakota's 529 savings program. Upromise is taking over from Morgan Stanley, effective November 3, 2006.
The Vanguard Group Inc will provide investment management services to College SAVE. The program will be using Vanguard mutual funds in its three age-based options and six individual portfolios. Existing accounts will be automatically transferred from the Morgan Stanley-managed portfolios to Vanguard-managed portfolios.
College SAVE will no longer be sold through financial advisers. For existing accounts, however, a Morgan Stanley Financial Adviser will remain the broker of record on the account.
