Most Senators support 529 tax permanency
(March 20, 2006) - There are now 62 Senate co-sponsors of legislation to make the 529 tax exclusion permanent, according to the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST). Senate Bill 1112 was introduced in May 2005. In addition, a companion bill in the House of Representatives (H.R. 2386) has 121 House members signed on as co-sponsors.
