College Board releases report showing that education pays
In a new publication titled "Education Pays 2004 - The Benefits of Higher Education for Individuals and Society," the College Board presents data to show that an investment in higher education pays off in higher average earnings, better health, and greater contribution to society. The median earnings of a worker with a college degree in 2003 was $59,500 as compared to $30,800 for a worker with only a high school diploma.
