Upromise to take over management of Iowa 529
(April 30, 2004) - The Iowa State Treasurer has announced that College Savings Iowa has hired Upromise Investments, Inc. to take on program management responsiblities. Along with the change comes a new website, expanded account services and greater online capability. Members of the Upromise Rewards Service will also be able to link their Upromise accounts with the Iowa 529 program. Under the agreement, a percentage of purchases at participating companies can be automatically directed into a 529 savings account. The transition from the internally-managed structure is expected to be completed by May 18, 2004.
