Michigan approves ABLE accounts and raises 529 plan limit

(October 29, 2015) - New laws were signed in Michigan that will allow people with disabilities to use tax-exempt savings accounts under the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act. These plans will have the same maximum balance as the state's 529 plan, the Michigan Education Savings program, which will increase from $235,000 to $500,000.
