Nevada passes tax credit for employers who match 529 contributions

The state of Nevada has passed Senate Bill (SB) 412, a tax credit for Nevada employers who make a matching contribution to employees participating in a Nevada 529 college savings plan. The new law will allow a 25% tax credit on matched contributions up to $500 per employee. The tax credit is expected to become effective on January 1, 2016.
