SSgA joins Upromise on Nevada 529 plan
(February 14, 2012) - The Upromise College Fund becomes the SSgA Upromise 5209 Plan on April 16, 2012 when State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) assumes investment management duties for the $940 million 529 savings plan. Upromise Investments will remain as program manager.
The plan will offer an all SPDR exchange-traded funds lineup its age-based and static investment options, in place of Vanguard funds. The asset-based expense ratio will drop from a weighted average of 57 basis points to 49 basis points.
