SSgA joins Upromise on Nevada 529 plan

The Upromise College Fund becomes the SSgA Upromise 5209 Plan on April 16, 2012 when State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) assumes investment management duties for the $940 million 529 savings plan. Upromise Investments will remain as program manager.

The plan will offer an all SPDR exchange-traded funds lineup its age-based and static investment options, in place of Vanguard funds. The asset-based expense ratio will drop from a weighted average of 57 basis points to 49 basis points.
