529 assets increase in 2010 Q3
(November 18, 2010) - Financial Research Corp. (FRC) reports that total assets in all 529 savings plans stood at $127B as of September 30, 2010, reflecting an 8.5% increase from June 30, 2010 assets of $117B. Compared to one year earlier, assets have increased by 15%.
Virginia's CollegeAmerica 529 plan, managed by American Funds, was the largest program with $27.7B. In second place was New York's College Savings Program - Direct with $8.5B.
