Putnam to depart Ohio 529, assets go to BlackRock
(May 14, 2010) - The Ohio Tuition Trust Authority has announced that the Ohio 529 advisor plan will be managed exclusively by BlackRock, Inc. as of this fall. Ohio’s CollegeAdvantage Program currently offers two advisor plans managed by Putnam Investments and BlackRock, respectively. The Tuition Trust Board voted to retain BlackRock as the exclusive program manager.
Putnam Investments has announced it will be seeking other opportunities to provide its services in the 529 space.
