OppenheimerFunds to take over management of I-529
(February 23, 2010) - The Tuition Plan Consortium (TPC) announced that it has selected OFI Private Investments Inc., (OFIPI), a subsidiary of OppenheimerFunds, Inc. as the new program manager for the Independent 529 Plan.
The date of the transition of the Plan’s operations and investments from the Plan’s current fund manager, TIAA-CREF, to OFIPI is anticipated to occur later this year.
Over 8,000 families nationwide participate in the Independent 529 Plan, which is governed by its 275 member colleges and universities.
