529 assets increase in 2009 Q3
(November 12, 2009) - Financial Research Corp. (FRC) reports that total assets in all 529 savings plans stood at 111.1B as of September 30, 2009, reflecting a 12.7 percent increase from June 30, 2009 assets of $98.6B. Over the last twelve months, 529 assets have increased by 9 percent.
Virginia's CollegeAmerica 529 plan, managed by American Funds, was the largest program with $24.1B. In second place was New York's College Savings Program (Direct) with $7.2B.
