Colorado launches new 529 through FirstBank
(November 10, 2009) - Colorado's CollegeInvest has announced the launch of The Smart Choice College Savings Plan, a new FDIC-insured 529 plan. The plan is made available through FirstBank Holding Company and offers two options: the One-Year Time Savings Plan that allows plan participants to make deposits at any time and earn interest at the current rate with no minimum balance, and the Money Market Savings Plan that has no minimum balance requirement but earns premium rates on balances over $20,000 and that permits deposits and withdrawals at any time.
